Mapping DAP and DAPA to Silverfin

Where a client has manual records the previous year's TB can be exported from DAP / DAPA into excel, recoded to Silverfin codes and then imported to Silverfin.

A tool has been put together for this and can be found on the T Drive - T:\Silverfin\Digita to Silverfin Conversion.xlsm.  For some this may show as Central Hub instead of the T drive.

To convert DAP / DAPA exports to Silverfin

1. Export the TB from DAP / DAPA as applicable
   1. for DAP use the Excel TB download
   2. for DAPA use the Word TB download
2. Open the 'Digita to Silverfin Conversion' Spreadsheet (N.B. It will open read only, this is fine as the converted file will be saved as a csv file to load into Silverfin) 
3. Copy the TB data from the TB into row 7 onwards
   1. Account code
   2. Description
   3. DR £
   4. CR £
4. Select the mapping required from the Drop down in cell C4 (DAP Mapping / DAPA Mapping).  The input TB will be converted to Silverfin codes and where no mapping is identified it will be coded to 999999 (Silverfin Suspense Code).  Original descriptions will be used.
5. Click 'Convert and Save'
6. When prompted, select a location and save the CSV file.
7. Open and Review the CSV file downloaded paying particular attention to items coded to 999999 where no mapping has been identified.  If the 'Standard' DAP / DAPA to Silverfin mapping needs to be modified then log a case with IT support for this to be done.
8. Load the CSV file into Silverfin following the Silverfin guide here.
