Changing Client Type / adding or Removing Workflows

There may be occasions where the client type or workflows against a client in Silverfin need to be changed.  For example a client was a micro entity (FRS 105) in previous periods and is now reporting under FRS 102 1A

The changes needed are 

1.Change the client type

  • From the client home screen select 'Edit Client'
  • Select the 'Configuration' tab / section
  • Select the new Client Type from the list and select 'Save Changes'

2. Add / remove workflows, using FRS 105 > FRS 1021A as an example

  • add the required workflows
    • from the client home screen click the 'Add Workflow' button
    • select the workflow that you want to add.  For the FRS 105 to 102 1A change, add the accounts (3. FRS 102/FRS102 1A) and completion (4. Completion FRS102/102 1A) workflows
  • remove the workflows no longer required (N.B. the main workflow, 2. Preparation, cannot be archived or removed without additional steps, please raise a ticket with IT Support if this is required) 
    • enter the workflow not required.  For the FRS 105 to 102 1A change this will be the accounts (3. FRS 105) and completion (4. Completion FRS 105) workflows
    • select Actions > Archive workflow for both FRS 105 accounts and completion workflows, selecting 'Archive Workflow' on the confirmation window
    • archived workflows can still be accessed to view historic records, to permanently delete the workflow
      • enter the archived workflow
      • select Actions > remove workflow, selecting 'Remove Workflow' on the confirmation window

If a client has been set up with the incorrect client type from the Frank screen and in Silverfin the wrong workflows are showing then is no work, or minimal work has been completed the solution will be to delete the client and set up correctly.  To do this log a ticket via Fresh with IT support with details requesting that the client be deleted.
