Companies House Sync

As part of the client setup if the Companies House ID is entered then Silverfin can import company details as well as details of directors and shareholders however this may need to be changed where details differ for example corporate shareholders.

The settings for the Companies House sync can be found by clicking 'Edit Client' and select the 'Sync' tab.  

The companies House ID will be shown below 'Sync reference'

To force the sync to run click the circular arrow icon next to the pencil.

To change the sync click the pencil icon.  In the following screen the Companies House ID (Sync reference) can be changed or the sync can be removed by selecting the 'Remove administration synchronisation'. 

Removing the companies house sync will not remove any data that has been imported however Silverfin will no longer check for changes. 

The data that has been imported from Companies House can be found below the Sync Reference and if there is no data in the 'Statutory information (Directors, Secretaries and Shareholders)' reconciliation then this will be imported.  Once data has been completed then any companies house changes will not be automatically applied.  An information bar will be shown on the screen highlighting that the Companies house information is different and give the option to import updated data.  Selecting to import will override any changes made.

If the data held in companies house is incorrect or additional shareholders need to be entered

1. removing the administrative sync which will make data that has been imported editable in the template
2. change data as necessary, this may be adding interested parties which are not part of the sync or correcting errors in data that has been imported

Note: in future periods, if the sync is re-enabled then updated data from Companies House can be reviewed in the 'Edit Client' screen prior to updating any reconciliations.
