Process for year two and onwards - Xero / Quickbooks
If the Silverfin data for last year has not yet been locked, ensure all workflows are at 100% and lock the period (from the client home screen click Actions > Lock). If workflows are not at 100% then the client may have backposted transactions or it may be due to the adjustments being entered. Mark any adjustments as posted and ensure workflows are at 100%.
If your sync is still active from last year then there is nothing to do with the sync as all data up to date will be loaded into Silverfin. The final step will be to roll forward template data as per the help article here .
You can tell if the sync is still active by checking the date and time below the client name on the client home screen
The Xero syncs can time out over the year so if the last sync is not up to date then the sync needs to be reset
To do this, from the client home screen select Edit Client and go to the Sync tab. In the Bookkeeping data sync section there will be a hyperlink to 'Disconnect from Xero' or 'Disconnect from Quickbooks' as applicable. Click the Disconnect link and the sync will be removed and you will be taken back to the client home screen
Select Edit Client, go to the Sync tab and select 'Set up Sync'
Select the second option 'Replace the data with a synchronisation'. This will replace all bookkeeping data for the client so if the client has had historic data loaded from other sources e.g. previous different bookkeeping system then use the top option.
Set up the sync to Xero / Quickbooks as necessary and the data will be imported into Silverfin.
