Symbology: Green dot - Yellow square - Red triangle - Grey Square
Silverfin uses a really effective coloured symbol system of keeping track of what needs done and what has been done etc. If you look at the top of any workflow, you will see a short summary of these symbols and your current status on that workflow:
1) Red / green: these reconciliations require some input to reconcile and be deemed complete. These will contribute to the workflow % completion.
- Green dot: the reconciliation has been reconciled and the supporting information you have added matches the TB value
- Red triangle: the details of the reconciliation do not yet correspond to the TB value and action is required to reconcile this - these are generally marked in red in the reconciliation itself.
2) Grey / yellow squares: these reconciliations do not require input to be complete, but if you have changed any of the defaults, will turn yellow. These do not contribute to the workflow % completion.
- Grey square: this does not require reconciliation to a value in the the general ledger - this is why a square is shown. A green dot or red triangle is therefore of no use. A grey square means there are some fields in that template that have default values / text in them, that have not been edited. It might be that there is no input required, so it is not a sign that something is necessarily wrong.
- Yellow square: A yellow square means there has been some manual input in one of the fields. The field with input will have a yellow corner to it!
- If the reconciliation has required inputs that are not filled in it will turn to a red triangle, which means it's not reconciled. It will show a yellow square again as soon all the required fields are filled in.
3) Blue Square - there are open items on the checklist in that reconciliation. To clear this, you need to complete to by clicking on the grey circle in the open point in the communications panel on the right hand side. The blue square will then disappear. Note that this counts towards the completion percentage for that reconciliation, so you cannot reach 100% without clearing all checklist items in your reconciliations.
4) Green lightning symbols - This means there is an open "To Do" against that reconciliation, which will clear when the "To Do" is marked complete (press on grey circle). Again this counts towards the completed percentage.
5) Speech bubble - there are Notes on this reconciliation - these do not need to be cleared and are simply for information on that point or schedule
6) Green ticks - this means that the reconciliation has been reviewed
7) Amber Triangle at the top right of an input field. This indicates that the contents of the field no longer match the default for that item.
The above is a company deadline that should be 31/12/2021 but has ben changed by the user. This will not stop the reconciliation being completed but should be checked by the user. If you click on the symbol, you will see a circular arrow button that you can use to reset the field to the default
